Bangkok Sirens: Panward Hemmanee

If you’re a regular reader of absolutely you will have observed that we’re not averse to the temptations of the Thai female beauty. And why shouldn’t politics and analyses mix with some of the good things in life. They’re all a basic human condition.

absolutely intentionally mixes dry topics and academic phrases with some of the better things in life. We’ll start therefore with a new category: Bangkok Sirens. Thai women who are not only captivating, but role models and achieving something.

Nah, we’re not out for Google and other ranking boosts. But why deny an everyday occurance that can be dealt with in a non-lurid way. The most pretendedly prudish people I’ve met in my life turned out to be the most psychopathic.

You’re still following or already deleted that bookmark/RSS feed or ours? No reason to be too uptight. Our Bangkok Sirens are kid nuns compared to what, for instance, the honorable Bangkok Post advertises in its printed classifieds. But right, we talk about skin-deep beauty. To dwell on Thai current affairs AND the intricacy of Thai women would exceed anyone’s abilities.

Let’s start our innocent little series with Panward Hemmanee – who is about to hit the Hollywood screen:

A remake of Bangkok Dangerous with Nicolas Cage is to be released in August (absolutely had the first mention though …). And Panward’s the leading a supporting actress: Aom, a hostess at a Bangkok go-go bar, delivering assassin Nic’s assignments:

Wonder if Cage’s wife doesn’t mind? Cage goes Asian after all since he married Korean Alice Kim. And thanks for this wave Asian Sweetheart – who doesn’t like Panward as a busty bride:

Asian Sweetheart has quite a compilation of works and appearances of Bangkok party kitty Panward. And yes, Panward played a rather weird girl in The Air Hostess War – even noble BBC dedicated a few lines to that Thai soap opera.

I doubt that Nong Pei will be Thailand’s newest export hit. Seems to have a kinky character this girl. But still, beauty alone doesn’t suffice to make it into Bangkok Sirens.

Our rating? 7/10

I thought Charlie Yeung was the lead actress in Bangkok Dangerous. She plays the deaf-mute love interest for Cage’s character – an homage to the Pangs’ original 1999 film, in which the hitman was a deaf-mute.

Unless things have changed drastically since filming wrapped up in 2006, I would guess Panward is in more of a supporting role.

Oops, she’s Aom and not Fon. Adjusted – but not the 7/10!

The Pang twins’ original was released 2001.

For me K. Pei is very sexy in my heart. I sure she not fake. The of her I will say she very sincerely and lovely girl. When I see her movie or music video, she make my life so fresh and alive. I adore her very much. Hope one day I could talk with her once in my life.
