Jet ski rental anyone in Phuket? Disco inferno?! Rohypnol parties?

Staged filming? Foreigners destroying the reputation of Thailand?

You’re old enough to make up your own mind. Suddenly, Thai authorities are all over it. Even though the jet ski scam is well documented since years.

From the U.K.’s Bravo. And don’t tell me I’m always negative. Just found it on the internet:

Why are you foreigners so hypersensitive? The way tourists are treated here is still nothing compared to how Thais treat their own. You foreigners are still very much privileged. But who cares when Thais are abused and betrayed by Thais.

Perhaps an expose on how many farang have been taken down hard by farang who have preceded them is in order.

Episode 2 uploaded – BTW: Thai police furious (read the comments) over staged filming harming the reputation of the kingdom.

And now the local video maker faces prosecution. And the jet ski operators in question?

And I assume commentator JJ above may not be that JJ …

I myself have to confess that the whole incident with the gun looked so very perfect as if “produced.”

Even if it was, it doesn’t change the fact of scammers. Sometimes you have to use unusual tactics to reach your goal, or not. The PAD demagogues are true masters in this regard. But it would say something about the quality of journalism/entertainment.

Much too harsh words darren, especially Thai motorists can be some of the cheekiest drivers, I think you haven’t been to other “developing” places, but a new low certainly was this story, a gang trying to burn alive a beggar.

Thailand is a great country and some tourists can be very annoying, but those people practicing scams and ripoffs including those supported by the police should be prosecuted and put to jail.
