Sort of pails into insignificance compared with this latest move. I remember copy editing in Viet Nam many years ago and every story had to be submitted to the inhouse, government censor who would, similar to your Burma experience duly mark and make comments on stories before sending them back to the copy editors for change or insertion in the publication. Thailand can only now be one step away from this.
