Colonary Treats In Bangkok: Detox Yourself

She made it look like it’s the most normal thing in the world.

Put on her sunniest smile and inserted – assisted by a (male) technician – the tube.

Massaged a little, ever smiling, and said: “I won’t hurt you.”

Then there was the strange feeling of warm fluids being slowly pumped inside.

Then there was the rather abrupt outward-flow – passing through an illuminated, transparent tube.

And the technician, dressed a a doctor, explained what I had just eaten.

And she, the smiling doctor, said – while pointing with the finger at the transparent tube: “See this? You have to eat some more vegetables and fruits.”

It may not be the nicest job she has. But she made me feel as nice as I haven’t felt for a long time.

The longer the process went on, the cleaner I got and better I felt.

Spot on. We’re talking about Colon Hydrotherapy. A most efficient way of detoxification that has become quite popular and widely available in Bangkok.

I got a friend who does it after every single night out with his buddies.

Even if you’re constantly tired or have a poor digestion: Colon Hydrotherapy may be the answer.

It’s a fountain of youth – and offered everywhere around the world. But Thais have a flair for procedures that require certain care. Or have you ever suffered in a Thai dentist’s chair?

You have no idea what’s all stuck in your congestion. Toxins from that abundant, kidney-destroying food or even environmental exposure.

You may have had a feeling, but there’s quite some unnecessary dirt stuck in your bowel.

Time for some colonic irrigation.

Cleansing your colon is a rejuvenating, relaxing and highly effective way to remove matter and stuff that your body doesn’t really require, does it.

It’s indeed as simple as that to get more energy, have an improved cardiovascular and blood circulation, even to loose some extra weight.

There’s a wide choice of dedicated places in Bangkok and Thai resort places for that, such as in Pattaya, Phuket, Koh Samui and Chiang Mai. You’ll walk on air.

You’ll fee lighter, more energetic, happier and more alive.

Get over it. It’s well worth the little embarrassment and hassles.

Anybody know the significant difference between this and using a laxative?

I mean for a gastroscopy I also had to drink a lot of water with laxative because the bowel needed to be entirely clean. So how is the effect different?

  2. BangkokDan says:

After a gastroscopy with laxatives you feel tired and spent.

After a colonic irrigation energetic and full of life.

I need more explanation on where this would be different, clean is clean. I’m quite interested in how it works besides flushing your guts, as I understand there is no evidence to support its use in the medical field.

Thaifolfer – mentioned feeling of tiredness is directly linked to the laxatives’ dehydrating effect – whereas a colonic cleansing hydrates the colon.

Played some doctor, found out that:

Laxatives are irritating to your colon, even if you are taking an herbal form. Colonics are more natural in that they stimulate peristalsis of the colon muscles and help to establish regularity. Laxatives cause the colon to spasm due to aggravation.

Laxatives and colon cleansers will NOT cleanse the entire colon nor will it dissolve hard, encrusted fecal matter often found in the pockets of the colon (haustras). Just as there is no herb or pill that can magically dissolve tartar from the teeth and their associated pockets.

Laxatives may pose quite some risks:

    - Difficulty concentrating (because stimulants affect the mind, as well as the body)
    - Dehydration (stimulants use up the fluids and many of the vitamins and minerals in your body, leaving you feeling weak and depleted)
    - Gastrointestinal problems (stimulants can irritate and damage your gastrointestinal system)
    - Insomnia (stimulants make it hard to sleep)
    - Dependency (many anorexics turn to laxatives for weight loss help and end up addicted)
    - Colon muscle damage (long term use will lead to dependency upon laxatives for normal bowel movements because the muscles in the colon will become damaged and incapable of normal function)
    - Jitters or the inability to control extremities (stimulants affect your central nervous system)

Laxatives can contribute to dehydration of the colon and a weakening of the colon muscle, thus compounding colon problems such as constipation.

Whereas colon hydrotherapy does just the opposite; it hydrates or waters your colon, softening hardened impactions, diluting toxins and flushing them out. Thus colon hydrotherapy benefits all organs of the body, and in addition, strengthens the colon muscle and promotes natural peristalsis.

Give that colonic irrigation a try and tell us how it was!

Thanks for the information Dan! I might try it someday. Just most “colonic experts” claim you need to do a whole detox course of a couple of days and that the effect from one time is not that substantial.

  7. Bill says:

I am almost convinced to try something like this out. It just seems a little unpleasant and embarrassing.

  8. andre whitehead says:

Well I will be coming to Bangkok in May, from the 8th to 20th and would like to set up an appointment for a colon cleansing, the 7 day treatment. Please respond on how to arrange.

    Thank you.
