I’ve had many meals in the Offshore alone or with friends, English or otherwise. Never a complaint save for the mushy peas which may safely be given a pass.

i consider myself a fish’n'chip expert, particularly when it’s wrapped in newspaper, The Offshore is the most disgusting shark’n'tattee shop I’ve encountered, no, they don’t clean the fryers (ever I don’t think), the girls are grumpy, and the fish is fowl. There’s nothing like fish’n'chips out of a newspaper but I’d much rather go to the ship inn a few doors down …

The Offshore’s battered red snapper is even tastier than the cod … and 50 baht cheaper. This chippy would not look out of place in any British town. It hits the mark for both food and ambience.
