Miss Hopeful Universe

It’s this time of the year again, on August 23rd, of the Miss Universe contest, this time on the Bahamas. Hopeful Thailand, known around the world for the most pleasant aesthetic singularity of her female offspring, is represented by Chutima Durongdej. Chuti-who? Miss Thai Universe?! Gimme a break!

She’s 23 years old, measures 35-26-35, has black eyes and … Bear with me for wondering what made her look more beautiful than the top of this nation’s outstanding women. Must be her inner beauty and intelligence I guess. But then again – and don’t forget to take the poll below:

We all know how eagerly the official Thailand celebrates global Thai achievements, such as a win in a sport event or a Thai heading an international organization. So why the choice of Kai Mook, pearl, as she is called? We’re lucky to get a wooden spoon.

Still, Durongdej was the 1st and 2nd runner up during her studies in the U.K. when she participated in Miss Wimbledon and Miss London pageants. In 2006 she was even chosen into the top 20 of Britain’s Next Top Model.

But the past and hope is about all there is. Look at her contestants. Tough choices. Vietnam’s terribly hot. Cute Guam. Fiery Nicaragua. At least she will outdo Malaysia. Or maybe I got it all wrong again – personally, I fall for the more natural, unaware beauty:

I’d bang her. I wouldn’t pay for it, but I’d bang her.

My gosh, our gal at the condo reception and most parfume gal in any shopping center is “suay gwa” then her … what a strange choice?? (Tea money somewhere?)

Tea money or not, I agree with Sathip, so let’s get ready to write our own blog.

Reality avatars: This must be proof you have a wonderful wife who takes care of you and your child, allowing you all this time to consort with your run-away stories. For sure she looks better than the posted one here.

I’ve met her three times while in the U.K. She came across as a sweet girl, but it was beyond imagination that she would eventually represent Thailand in the Miss Universe contest!

Didn’t wanna put it that bluntly in the text, but obviously lobbying and whatever must have secured her the place.

She’s no true ambassador, what a letdown.

Booby prize. At least Miss Thai got the Miss Photogenic coronet.

My fav? Switzerland. Shy, obviously nervous, no (obvious) plastic surgery job.
