Ok, it’s not my world, but fascinating nevertheless. A considerable proportion of Thailand’s sex tourists are gay tourists longing for moneyboys.
The gay market is huge business in Bangkok. I remember a friend who had launched Thai Guys, the first free Bangkok gay guide, a booklet that was available at all the appropriate bars, hotels and such.
He made big money. And about half of the arrested pedophiles in Bangkok are caught with boys in bed. Me wonders what about the more respectable and less respectable sex tourists.

That’s probably the most fascinating thing I’ve read in a long time. I don’t mind the gay nightlife, really it almost sounds fun, if extreme. But that a culture would bend that strongly towards moneyboys, even in a small area, is amazing.
