Hmm, interesting reading. I can well understand TV being cautious about comments about the royals and/or about other powerful people living here.

But that’s not the issue that gets people upset. Most of the time it is simply posters saying something that the mods personally disagree with OR someone quite rightly correcting incorrect or misleading information that a mod has provided … and then the mod getting antsy as a result of that. I too, after such instances, have noted a mod following me from one sub-forum to the next presumably just waiting for me to write something that could justify suspension. It’s spooky really.

And the degree of personal bias shown by some of the mods is breath-taking … just try saying something that is even vaguely critical of farang women and see how long you last … but all the while farang guys are the perpetual whipping-boys and subject of loathing and ridicule in the womens sub-forum … a great place to visit if you need reminding as to why you prefer Thailand and Thai women.

CDNVIC is another hated Mod – and I can vouch that many of the Mods and protected posters are gay – but forgetting that (up to them) – they are internet nazis with no sense of fairness or consistancy – and ‘George’ never answers email complaints.

Thaivisa is now a site for imbeciles to ask the stupidest questions on earth … 100 times a day. The site admin seem to invite this behavior.

Prior to recent times (earlier this year), the site seemed to be tolerable.

I believe that many of the quality posters have been driven away due to recent activities. Such recent activities include – allowing stupid & repetitive posts to exist … this was not the prior case. Also, over moderation of anybody who unwitingly somehow infringes on the money making ability of the anal site.

Thanks to greed, that site will never be the same again.

I hate Thaivisa. I once dragged up the oldest posts from years previous and commented on them as a little prank.

However PeaceBlondie a mod on there didn’t get the joke and banned me forever. A rather anal individual. Do these mods get paid for their efforts? Or are they on there because they can’t get a real job on Teakdoor?

Got to agree with the comments on ThaiVisa 100% but my beef is with the jackbooted Nazi mod in Phuket … what a peculiar chap to say the least. I feel better after reading more about ThaiVisa on here … I had been taking it personally … I was actually suspended for saying that the forum was dull and boring at one stage (as it was/is!!). He told me not to post ”NEGATIVE” comments and why bother reading it if i don’t like it … wanker of the first order … I would love to ”sit down and have a beer with him’ … LOL

I was also banned from ThaiVisa, the moderation policies on that paranoid forum are unbelievable.

The moderators are akin to Nazi stormtroopers with the added bonus of being anonymous and beyond reproach.

If they acted like they do in real life situations, they would be slapped around.

ThaiVisa is OK for certain things, but as a free speech forum, no way. With the moderation team they have freedom of speech is not at all possible.

Plus I really don’t like the fact that there are so many gay Westerners teaching young Thai males English, seems strange to me somehow.

Motive?

Opportunity to exploit?

Shite wages?

Why do they do it?

(BD: Well hpw do you know there are so many gay teachers?)
