Thailand’s Most Beautiful Woman

The heavy flow of her playful long hair, that coy smile – and her money. She’s the Kingdom’s most desired woman.

Where she walks, cameramen go crazy. Where she shows up to dance, the floor erupts.

For the sake of the myriads of beauties in this country: I’m not talking about the mother.

And it’s nor “Pancake” Khemanit nor Paula Taylor, Bangkok’s hottest gals these days.

But Pinthongta, eldest daughter of Thaksin and Pojaman Shinawatra.

Pinthongta has it all.

She’s soaked in money.

What makes her the most desirable.

And her looks.

Not the squarehead of her daddy, not the greedy narrow eyes of mom.

But the silhouette of a goddess and this wide open, deer-like, large dark almonds’ gaze.

Black suits her especially well.

And when she smiles.

And that cute little snub nose. I want to cuddle her all day long.

Sadly though Pinthongta is mostly hiding. Too shy and fearful of a ray of sunlight harming her delicate pale Chinese skin.

Or is it the stalkers?

Pinthongta is the coming star.

How could she not be with those looks and that name – hers at least is pronounceable.

Brother Panthongthae sounds like a pantaloon-gone-foul, younger sister Paethongtarn seems to be related to the great sport of pétanque.

But we all know how the similarity and continuity of names is essential in these lands.

Look at all our neighbors with their dynasties – the Lees in Singapore, Indonesia’s Sukarnos, the Ghandis in India, the Bhuttos in Pakistan and others in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

It does not matter if Pinthongta knows about politics and the related games. She has the name.

Pinthongta is here to stay.

Most feminine sword-bearer of the future Shinawatras and Damapongs – with the brains and money, but mysteriously hardly the looks of mom and dad.

Where can I sign up for the fan club? Well – why not for both of them? Younger sister Paethongtarn (right) is not as leggy, but not without!

Wait – what are they thinking?

Thaistory, that would be a really great idea! I’d join immediately. And I’d bet the Shin-clan would sponsor it, as they even after years and years at U.S. universities and in U.K. exile for sure still don’t get the difference between fun and fan …
